This is a sketchbook drawing of a building in Bordeaux, France. I work a lot in sketchbook form and often enjoy observational drawing for just that purpose - observing. Drawing seems to make you look harder at things, and therefore notice more. Once I’ve drawn a building, I feel like I know it, far more than I would having just looked at it.
